It’s a simple equation for the Maryland football team, one more loss and any shot at a bowl game is out the window.
The Terrapins have dropped three in a row -- and the road doesn’t get any easier, starting today with the Wolfpack.
Although the Wolfpack have lost four straight, NC State has one of the ACC’s top offenses, averaging over 33 points per game.
Sophomore quarterback Russell Wilson has accounted for 24 touchdowns (21 passing, 3 rushing) with just six interceptions, although all six have come over the last four games. He has scored multiple touchdowns in each of the last seven games. Wilson has thrown for four or more touchdowns four times this year, including five against Florida State last week, and is averaging 276 yards per game through the air over the last seven games.
However, the Wolfpack defense has struggled mightily during the four game slide.
NC State has yielded 45 points or more in each of the last three games, and hasn’t given up less than 30 points in a game since Sept. 19.
