Orioles Sign Scott To One-Year Deal
The Orioles agreed with to a one-year, $6.4 million deal with outfielder Luke Scott today.
Scott will likely be sliding to left field this season as the team adds Vladimir Guerrero. Scott hit 27 home runs a year ago as the team's most valuable player.
The Orioles avoided arbitration by completing the deal and are hoping to do the same with pitcher Jeremy Guthrie. Guthrie was the team's Opening Day starter a year ago.
