Fantasy Football Experts' July 2012 Mock Draft

By Ken Zalis

In this draft, I had the third overall pick out of 12 teams.

The teams drafting were from the following sites:

TheHuddle.com
FFToolbox.com
DraftSharks.com
FFToday.com
FantasySharks.com
2MugsFF.com
DraftCalc.com
KFFL.com
CBSSports.com
Rotoworld.com
FFToolbox.com

My team wound up like this:

Pick Selection
1.03 McCoy, LeSean PHI RB
2.10 Lynch, Marshawn SEA RB
3.03 Brees, Drew NO QB
4.10 Jackson, Vincent TB WR
5.03 Bowe, Dwayne KC WR
6.10 Green-Ellis, BenJarvus CIN RB
7.03 Smith, Torrey BAL WR
8.10 Bush, Michael CHI RB
9.03 Ridley, Stevan NE RB
10.10 Gresham, Jermaine CIN TE
11.03 Floyd, Michael ARI WR
12.10 Vereen, Shane NE RB
13.03 Turbin, Robert SEA RB
14.10 Jean, Lestar HOU WR
15.03 Houston Texans Defense
16.10 Flynn, Matt SEA QB
17.03 Royster, Evan WAS RB
18.10 Rackers, Neil WAS PK
19.03 Denver Broncos Defense
20.10 Feely, Jay ARI PK

As you can see, I again went running back, running back during the first two rounds. Your draft can get thin at running back fast, and tight end, quarterback and wide receiver are very deep. I probably went a tad running back crazy in this draft, as I wanted to protect Lynch with Turbin, and Royster in round 17 was too tempting not to grab.

Some tidbits on this draft:

1. Quarterback Can Be Had Late

Peyton Manning went during round eight and Eli Manning during round six, so you don't have to get a quarterback during the first three rounds. Brees during round three was too good a value to pass up for me.

2. Wide Receiver Is DEEEEPPPP

Bowe, Percy Harvin, Steve Johnson and DeSean Jackson all went during the fifth round.

You can see how the entire draft went by clicking here.

So, how did I do? Let me know.

Another mock draft is coming soon, as well as some things to watch for in training camps.
