On his second night as a Major League Baseball player, Manny Machado hit two home runs during a 7-1 win for the Orioles. Machado got a curtain call after his sixth inning, three-run blast to left field. Both home runs were caught in the stands by the same 15-year-old, Adam Corder.

It was the kind of night likely to be talked about for years. The hype surrounding Machado, the third overall pick in the 2010 first-year player draft, has been big for years. So far, he's matched it.

"I'm just out here having a good time," Machado said on MASN afterward.

Manager Buck Showalter said, "That's one of those nights you're honored and lucky to watch."

Machado went 2 for 4, driving in four runs. During two games since being called up from Double-A Bowie, he has four hits and has scored three runs.

The Orioles also got a brilliant, eight-inning effort from Miguel Gonzalez, who gave up six hits and a run with five strikeouts.
