Arrieta Recalled From Norfolk
Jake Arrieta is getting another chance with the Orioles. Although he was with the club yesterday in its clubhouse, the move became official today. Arrieta pitched to a 1.82 ERA with Triple-A Norfolk recently during four starts, striking out 31 batters.
Arrieta, the Orioles' Opening Day starter, was 3-9 with the Orioles this season, with a 6.13 ERA. His confidence was damaged during those struggles. If he's able to contribute to the Birds in their playoff run, it would certainly be a heartwarming story.
