Hale Not Picked By Red Sox
Orioles third base coach DeMarlo Hale won't be the next manager of the Boston Red Sox. Toronto manager John Farrell will instead move to Boston and become the next Red Sox skipper.
The Blue Jays and Red Sox had been negotiating the unusual intra-division move in the American League East. The Blue Jays will receive infielder Mike Aviles as compensation for Farrell, while the Red Sox will also receive right-hander Dave Carpenter.
