After Busy Offseason, What Does Depth Chart Look Like?

On the day when income tax forms are due, the time to see how taxing the defending Super Bowl champion Ravens' offseason has been is also up for inquiry.

April 15 is the day players in Baltimore are due to report to the team's facility, the Under Armour Performance Center in Owings Mills, for the start of the offseason conditioning program.

For the next several weeks, the emphasis for all teams in what is known as "Phase One" of the preparatory phase of the calendar will be on strength, conditioning and limited on-field work, as per the 2011 collective bargaining agreement.

That will lead to "Phase Two" and the organized team activity practices, which are not classified as mandatory. But players are usually strongly encouraged to show up for the sessions, lest they lose a starting job or roster spot.

For the Ravens, OTAs are scheduled to take place May 21-23, May 29-31 and June 4-7. The three-day, mandatory, full-team minicamp is set for June 11-13. Following that, on-field workouts adjourn until training camp -- officially known as "Phase Three" -- begins in late July, also at Owings Mills, on a date that has yet to be announced.

There are currently 60 players on the team's active roster -- the training-camp allowable maximum is 80 -- as well as five exclusive-rights free agents, two restricted free agents and six remaining unrestricted free agents.

Even though there is still plenty ahead of the team as far as roster building is concerned, such as more free agency, the draft and picking up undrafted free agents, here is how we see the Ravens' two-deep, on-field hierarchy at this point:
