A Letter from Adalius Thomas
Dear Baltimore,
Last week was bittersweet -- bitter leaving my second home, and sweet for the opportunity that is ahead of me. I signed a contract to play for the New England Patriots. I would like to thank every individual fan for all of your support over the seven years I have been here. It has been a great joy to be a part of a fantastic city and organization.
My seven years with the Baltimore Ravens have been filled with fun memories and accomplishments, both on and off of the field.
I have a Super Bowl ring and several awards, but, more important are the memories of a great city and a passionate fan base. With my weekly radio show at Michael's Pub and many appearances, I have been able to meet thousands of fans, many that I consider friends today.
Many fans and local companies have supported the Adalius Thomas S.L.A.S.H. Foundation through the Ravens All Community Team, my annual golf tournament, local fundraisers and individual donations. The money raised has helped hundreds of children at places like Johnnycake Elementary in Catonsville, where my wife spent several years as a teacher, and the Knights of Valor, who taught me how to play chess. Thank you for allowing me the ability to help these kids. It is my hope that Ravens fans will continue to support local children’s charities and make the lives of the underprivileged more bearable.
On behalf of my wife, children and the entire Thomas family: Goodbye Baltimore.
Thank you for a great seven years!
Sincerely,

Adalius Thomas
