Bradford Mills, Chairman of the Board
Mr. Mills has served as chairman of the board and/or CEO of more than 30 companies including Chicago Stock Tab, Diamond Glass Co., F. Eberstadt & Co. International, Filtration Sciences, Houston Wire & Cable, Mercury Motor Express, Overseas Private Investment Corporation, Overseas Private Equities, Overseas Private Placements, Specialized Services, The O.S. Kelly Corporation and U.S. Precision Glass Co. Currently, Mr. Mills is the chairman of Bradford Investment Group, Inc. and Word Smith Media Ventures, LLC.
Mr. Mills has also served on more than 100 board of directors of both public and private companies including Ampad, Central Sprinkler, Chemical Fund, Easco, Federal Petroleum, Futronix, Mass Mutual Investor Corp., North American Watch Company, Oceanarium, Quotron, Royal Olympic Cruise Lines, Sunbelt Companies, The O.S. Kelly Corporation, U.S. Precision Glass Company and Xtra Corporation. He is currently serving as director of Princeton Packet, Word Smith Media Ventures and Bradford Investment Group, Inc.
Mr. Mills served as a partner of F. Eberstadt & Co. (investment bankers) from 1956-1962, founded and served as Managing Partner of New York Securities Co. (investment bankers) from 1962-1970, and founded and was managing partner of Bradford Associates (venture capital and buyout firm) from 1973-1997.
From 1970-1973, Mr. Mills was the president and CEO of Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC). Mr. Mills was appointed by President Nixon as the first president of OPIC. This corporation, a wholly-owned agency of the United States Government, was responsible for administering a $15 billion program for insuring and financing U.S. private capital in the 125 countries of the developing world. From 1948-1950, Mr. Mills was the assistant to the director of the Overseas Territories Division, Economic Cooperation Administration in Paris, France.
Stan Charles
Mr. Charles is best known for his nearly 30 years as sports talk radio's Stan "The Fan." He began as a radio intern in 1981 and parlayed his passion for sports, baseball in particular, to become a well-known and respected sports commentator.
He was sports columnist for the Baltimore City Paper and contributed to Outside Pitch and Sidelines, and has hosted TV shows on MPT and HTS and WJFK-ESPN Radio.
In his position as founder and publisher of PressBox, Mr. Charles restarted his broadcast career as host of PressBox LIVE, the company's weekly radio program heard on WJFK, the ESPN affiliate. He currently hosts PressBox Sports Radio weekdays 12-1 p.m. on WVIE 1370 AM and the weekly "Inside PressBox" TV show on ABC-2. He also writes a monthly column for the paper and weekly features online and oversees the editorial content for the paper and Web site. In addition, he focuses on creating and improving the paper’s circulation, helping to facilitate sales, and market the entire company.
John Coulson
Serving as vice president of sales and marketing, John Coulson is a native Baltimorean, a huge Ravens fan and a lifelong lacrosse fan. He spent more than 20 years holding various sales and management positions in the radio industry. From 1995–2006 he worked with CBS Radio (Infinity Broadcasting) as a national sales manager, general sales manager and as the sports sales manager for the Ravens Radio Network, WJFK-AM radio and the Maryland Terrapins Radio Network.
