Gilman - Mount St. Joseph
Saturday, 1 p.m.

Gilman played its first home game last Saturday and the third-ranked Greyhounds responded with a 21-0 shutout of Georgetown Prep. John Pagliaro scored three touchdowns and rushed for 184 yards, including a 76 yard-jaunt in the fourth quarter that busted the game open.

The Greyhounds dominated up front, rushing for 296 yards and shutting down the Little Hoyas' offense. After two tough losses to DeMatha and Bergen Catholic of New Jersey, Biff Poggi's club is 1-2 overall and 1-0 in the MIAA A Conference.

Mount St. Joseph is 0-2 in the league and 1-4 overall. The Gaels nearly upset top-ranked Loyola last Saturday, but Omari Mobley hauled in a touchdown pass with 41 seconds left to give the Dons a 16-14 win. Jake Bohn scored two touchdowns for the Gaels, who sandwiched a win over Cardinal Gibbons around tough losses to McDonogh, St. John's of D.C. and Good Counsel.

Perry Hall - Franklin
Saturday, 1 p.m.

Both teams are 4-0 and looking to take a huge step towards a berth in the state playoffs. Perry Hall's biggest challenge is to slow down Franklin running back Scott Noble. With Noble running wild, the Indians are averaging 46 points a game.

Nick Arminio's Gators opened the season with a huge 10-7 win over Hereford. Two weeks later the Gators beat Woodlawn, 14-8. Jason Mattison, who transferred from Gilman two years ago, runs Perry Hall's offense. Last week, in a 35-14 win over Catonsville, he threw for a touchdown and threw for another.

Franklin coach Anthony Burgos watched Noble shred Patapsco's defense last week for five touchdowns.
