Breaking Down The All-Americans | Maryland Players: Boys | Girls

Dozens of the best high school lacrosse players will converge in Towson this weekend for the Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic. The boys' North and South teams will face off at 8 p.m. July 2. The game can be seen on ESPNU.

Here is a look at the 10 Maryland players on the Boys South team: 

Jay Carlson
Attack, Cockeysville, Md., St. Paul's School
Carlson tallied 37 goals, 27 assists and 51 groundballs this season for coach Rick Brocato ... Led team to a 13-8 mark ... Two-time First Team All-Metro selection ... Twice named First Team All-MIAA ... Helped team win 2010 MIAA Championship earning MVP honors... Plans to attend the University of Maryland.

Jeff Chase
Midfield, Monrovia, Md., Boys' Latin
Chase scored six goals, assisted on two goals and scooped up 10 ground balls for coach Rob Shiver ... An All-MIAA 'A' Conference selection ... Baltimore Messenger All-Star Team as a junior .... A member of the Under Armour Baltimore Underclass squad ... Selected to the All-KUDDA team in 2010 ... Named Boy's Latin Most Athletic in 2011 ... Also played football, named All-State Honorable Mention as a DB ... Will continue his career at Loyola University of Maryland.

Conor Doyle
Attack, Towson, Md., Gilman School
Doyle recorded 33 goals and 32 assists this season for Coach Brooke Matthews ... Named 2011 Baltimore Sun Metro Player of the Year, an MIAA 'A' Conference First Team Selection ... A Kelly Award Finalist/ Independent North Division Winner ... MIAA 'A' Conference Champions in 2009 and 2011 ... Also played football, where he was a team captain, and the team won the 2009 MIAA Championship, while being ranked No. 14 in the country ... Conor will play next season at Notre Dame.

Tyler German
Midfield, Church Hill, Md., Queen Anne's County High School
German tallied 42 goals and 53 assists this season for coach Mike Ransom ... Led team to a 14-3 mark ... Four-time First Team All-Bayside selection earning Player of the Year honors in 2010 ... Helped squad win 2010 State title ... Also played football and basketball ... Named All-State and the Bayside Player of the Year in football ... Owns the school record for career points in hoops ... Plans to attend the University of Virginia.

Bryson Greene
Defense, Towson, Md., McDonogh
Greene tallied one goal, one assist and 78 ground balls this season for coach Andy Hilgartner ... Led team to a 15-4 mark ... Earned 2010 Warrior Top 40 ... Plans to attend Georgetown University.

Bobby Gribbin
Midfield, Rockville, Md., Georgetown Prep
Gribbin tallied 40 goals, nine assists and 137 ground balls this season for coach Kevin Giblin ... Named the Washington Post and Gazette Player of the Year ... Member of the High School All-Tewaaraton Team ... Two-time All-IAC selection ... Helped squad win IAC Championship each of the last three seasons ... Won 2011 Kelly Award as Maryland's top lacrosse player ... Ranked in top 50 in Wrestling USA's 2009 Nation's Best High School Wrestlers ... Won 78 percent of face offs in 2011 ... Fused glass artist... Plans to major in kinesiology at the University of Maryland.

John Kelly
Defense, Sandy Spring, Md., Bullis
Kelly tallied 65 ground balls this season for coach Bob Pollicino ... Led team to a 13-6 mark ... Played for Washington, D.C., in the Under Armour Underclass tournament ... Finalist for the Tewaaraton Award and the C. Markland Kelly Award ... First Team All-Met selection ... Two-time All-League choice... Plans to attend Johns Hopkins University.

Taylor Michel
Attack, Lutherville, Md., St. Paul's School
Michel tallied 46 goals, 23 assists and 41 ground balls this season for coach Rick Brocato ... Led team to a 13-7 mark ... Finalist for the C. Markland Kelly Award ... Nominee for the McCormick Unsung Hero Award ... All-Met selection ... Won the George L. Mitchell Best Athlete and Stepen Fertig Award for Character ... Led team in scoring ... Also played football, earning All-MIAA honors ... Member of the following student groups: Peer Leader, Student Ambassador, Athletic Leadership Council and St. Paul's Concert Group ... Plans to major in business at University of Virginia.

Wells Stanwick
Attack, Baltimore, Md., Boys' Latin School of Maryland
Stanwick tallied 33 goals and 56 assists this season for coach Bob Shriver ... Played for the Baltimore team at the Under Armour Underclass Tournament ... Member of the High School Tewaaraton Team ... Named Baltimore Messenger Player of the Year ... Two-time First Team All-Met and All-MIAA selection ... Led team in assists in 2008, 2010 and 2011 ... Also played soccer and basketball, earning MVP honors in basketball ... Twin sister Covie is on the girls' All-America South team ... Plans to major in history at Johns Hopkins.

Ryan Tucker
Midfield, Towson, Md., Gilman School
Tucker tallied 25 goals, nine assists and 52 ground balls this season for coach Brooks Matthews ... Led team to a 13-5 mark ... Played for the Baltimore team at the Under Armour Underclass tournament ...Named the Towson Times Player of the Year ... Two-time All-Met selection, earning First Team honors this year ... Helped squad win 2009 and 2011 MIAA Conference titles ... First Team All-MIAA choice ... Also played soccer, leading the team to the 2010 MIAA A Conference championship ... Both mom and dad are lacrosse coaches ... Plans to major in business/history at University of Virginia.
