Golf Digest has conducted America's 100 Greatest Golf Courses rankings since 1966, making it the oldest and most respected ranking in the game. Panelists nationwide play and rate the courses according to shot values, resistance to scoring, design variety, memorability, aesthetics, conditioning and ambience.

Bulle Rock not only moved up 33 spots on the list, making the Top 50 cut, but the Pete Dye-designed course also had the highest ranking of any Mid-Atlantic course on the list. Bulle Rock continues to be ranked in all major golf publications' Top 100 Public Golf Courses listings and is time and time again recognized as the #1 public course in Maryland.

Centrally located in Havre de Grace, Md., between Baltimore and Wilmington, Del., Bulle Rock is set on 230 idyllic, lush acres. The course rolls amid 100 feet of elevation changes. Fairways are lined with bluegrass and tall fescues, which lend a classic look to the layout. Tall hardwood trees, natural rock formations and stone walls provide stunning backdrops, with the course boasting numerous "signature" caliber holes and seven holes featuring water. With a course rating of 76.4, a slope rating of 147 and a yardage of 7,375, Bulle Rock Golf Course tests the best of golfers.

"It is a real honor that both golfers in the know and one of the nation's most well-respected golf publications recognize us as one of the US's premier courses," said Richard Rounsaville, Bulle Rock's general manager and director of golf. "It is a tribute to our original mission of operating a world-class course that is accessible to the public. We take great pride in ensuring that our course conditions continue to improve over time and in providing the Mid-Atlantic region with a preeminent golf experience."

Practice facilities at Bulle Rock include a double fairway driving range with an all-grass tee, a three-green short game area and a 17,000-square-foot putting green. The clubhouse includes a fully-stocked golf shop that offers lesson programs and custom club fitting. It also features full-service locker rooms with attendants on staff, and a strong caddy program.
