Johns Hopkins University's historic Homewood Field will host the 2018 Under Armour All-America Lacrosse games Saturday, June 30, 2018. The games were previously played at Towson University and draw some of the best lacrosse players across the nation.
"It's a tribute to the event's reputation and an honor to bring the All-America games to the sport's most historic venue, Homewood Field," said Lee Corrigan, president of Corrigan Sports Enterprises, which manages the event.
The 2018 Under Armour Underclass Tournament, played simultaneously with the All-America senior games, will remain at Towson University. It will expand for the second time in three years, by adding the Connecticut/New York (CONNY) area as the 12th region.
The event traditionally attracts college coaches from the nation's top programs. Open to student-athletes from the graduating classes of 2019 to 2022, the Underclass competition features boys' and girls' teams from 12 different areas of the nation. The Underclass Tournament will run from June 28 to July 1.
The newly added CONNY region will provide tryout opportunities for players from the lacrosse hotbeds just north of New York City and Connecticut. The tournament will have two divisions of boys and girls, The Command Division (2021 and 2022 classes) and The Highlight Division (2019 and 2020 classes), with regional teams from Baltimore, CONNY, Long Island, Midwest, New England, New Jersey, Philadelphia, South, Southwest, Upstate New York, Washington, D.C., and West.
Underclass teams are selected at open tryouts in the specific regions during May and June leading up to the main event.
