2019 NFL Draft: Pre-Combine DL, Edge, LB Rankings

February 27, 2019
Here are my top five defensive linemen, edge rushers and linebackers ahead of workouts at the NFL Scouting Combine, along with some sleepers and players to watch out for.

Defensive Linemen

1. Quinnen Williams, Alabama
2. Ed Oliver, Houston
3. Christian Wilkins, Clemson
4. Jeffery Simmons, Mississippi State
5. Dexter Lawrence, Clemson

Edge Rushers

1. Nick Bosa, Ohio State
2. Josh Allen, Kentucky
3. Rashan Gary, Michigan
4. Brian Burns, Florida State
5. Clelin Ferrell, Clemson

Linebackers

1. Devin White, LSU
2. Mack Wilson, Alabama
3. Devin Bush, Michigan
4. Joe Giles-Harris, Duke
5. Vosean Joseph, Florida

Don't Forget About …

- Linebacker Khalil Hodge is a kid to watch at the combine. He was a tackling machine at Buffalo.

- Defensive tackle is very deep, but a name that gets lost in the shuffle is Khalen Saunders. I liked his film at Western Illinois. He is just 6-foot-2, but he could be a solid run stuffer.

- Edge rusher is so deep that Mississippi State's Montez Sweat and Florida's Jachai Polite just missed my top five but could be top-20 picks in the draft.
