Local Men's Lacrosse Power Rankings: Week Eight

Here are this week's local men's lacrosse power rankings:

Division I:

1. Loyola (No. 2 nationally, 8-2)
Previous Game: Defeated then-No. 14 Lehigh, 15-9
Spotlight: Senior Pat Spencer (Boys' Latin) had five goals and six assists, becoming the first player in program history with 10 or more points in back-to-back games. Senior Jacob Stover (McDonogh) had 15 saves.

2. Maryland (No. 3, 9-2)
Previous Game: Defeated Michigan, 16-12
Spotlight: Junior Jared Bernhardt and sophomore Logan Wisnauskas (Boys' Latin) each had five goals. 
Next Up: At Rutgers April 14

3. Towson (No. 11, 7-3)
Previous Game: Defeated Fairfield, 14-7
Spotlight: Senior Brendan Sunday and redshirt sophomore Luke Fromert had four goals apiece, while junior Brody McLean added three. Junior Tyler Canto had 15 saves.

4. Johns Hopkins (No. 16, 6-4)
Previous Game: Defeated then-19 Rutgers, 15-13 
Spotlight:  Freshman Joey Epstein (Landon) scored five goals, and junior Cole Williams (Loyola Blakefield) scored three times.

5. Mount St. Mary's (7-5)
Previous Game: Defeated Utah, 16-15
Spotlight: Senior Chris DiPretoro had five goals and junior Brenden McCarthy added four. Freshman Jared McMahon scored the game-winner with 1:40 remaining.

6. Navy (5-5)
Previous Game: Defeated Colgate, 16-11
Spotlight: Senior Greyson Torain (DeMatha) scored five goals with two assists and senior Ryan Wade finished with four goals with an assist. Freshman Nick Cole also had a hat trick.

7. UMBC (3-6)
Previous Game: Defeated Binghamton, 13-6
Spotlight: Junior Ryan Frawley scored three goals and sophomore Tommy Lingner had a season-high 13 saves.

Spotlight: Senior Corey Gwin (Stephen Decatur) and sophomore Cross Ferrara had a team-high four goals apiece.

Spotlight: Senior Gray McKee scored four goals.

Spotlight: Senior Casey Grieves (Sts. Peter & Paul) had four goals and two assists, junior Cody Pascale had three goals and two assists and junior Cooper Sloan had a goal and four assists.
