New Ravens Promotions Offer Benefits, Deals For Fans

The 2019 NFL season has finally arrived, and the Baltimore Ravens started the year off strong with a 59-10 rout of the Miami Dolphins with a nearly flawless performance from quarterback Lamar Jackson.

But the Ravens aren't just dedicated to giving their fans an exciting product on the field; they want to offer them some extra benefits, and that's why they're excited about unveiling a long list of brand new promotions.

"We've got a ton of new activations," director of corporate sales Aaron Cline said on Glenn Clark Radio Sept. 5. "We're super excited to kick things off."

The Ravens launched 11 new promotions to improve and enhance the fan experience with the start of the NFL season, and the list includes a wide range of items from free food to honoring military veterans and team legends.

"Everyone in the building, everyone I talk to around town is fired up for the season," Cline said. "It's time to go. We're fired up."

One of the biggest new promotions the team is rolling out is for "Purple Fridays." Through partnerships with Dunkin' Donuts, Ledo Pizza and Xfinity, fans wearing purple on Fridays can get free or discounted food and a free Ravens remote wrap at participating Xfinity stores.

"So while you're watching the Ravens game, you can tune in with your Ravens remote," Cline said. 

Another opportunity for fans to get free food is through "McDonalds Field Goals." They'll have even more incentive to cheer when opposing teams line up for a field goal in M&T Bank Stadium, because if the kicker misses, everyone in the stadium gets a free six-piece McNuggets box from McDonalds.

And if they miss twice in a game, then the number of free nuggets increases.

"Wait till you see the creative stuff our team came up with -- 'free the nuggets,' stuff like that," Cline said. "It's unbelievable. That's a big new promotion for us. We're fired up about it."

The Ravens have also partnered with Taco Bell to offer chances to win team merchandise, game tickets, autographed collectibles and a VIP fan experience with every purchase of a party pack meal combo that includes 12 tacos.

"The 12-pack is branded with Ravens imagery and going on throughout the season," Cline said. "Not only do you get the delicious Taco Bell meal, but you also have the chance to win tickets, jerseys and merchandise."

The team has also taken steps to improve the fan experience inside the stadium on game days as well with the Southwest Captain of the Game, which gives fans the chance to join the team captains for the coin toss, and the Dietz and Watson Hometown Hero and the CSX Seats for Service -- both of which give active and veteran members of the military the chance to get amenities like reserved seats, sideline passes and the opportunity to give the game ball to the referee.

"We would love to have them all down and honor them," Cline said. "We've been very happy to partner with CSX on this and ... we've worked with our community relations department to make this a really great promotion for our fans and military members. They do so much for us. It's the least we can do."
