November 18, 2019
After a 1-0 week, the Maryland men's basketball team jumped from No. 7 to No. 6 in this week's  AP Top 25 rankings thanks to Kentucky's loss against Evansville.

Kentucky, which was No. 1 in last week's rankings, lost, 67-64, to Evansville of the Missouri Valley Conference Nov. 12. The Wildcats dropped to No. 9 in this week's poll. Duke takes over the No. 1 spot, followed by Louisville, Michigan State, Kansas and North Carolina.

Maryland defeated Oakland (Mich.), 80-50, Nov. 16 in its lone game last week. Guards Darryl Morsell (14 points), Anthony Cowan (11) and Aaron Wiggins (10) scored in double figures to lead the way for the Terps. Walk-on guard Reese Mona scored five points, while fellow walk-on Will Clark (Loyola Blakefield) scored his first career points.

Maryland next faces Fairfield Nov. 19 and George Mason Nov. 22. Fairfield lost to Loyola, 84-75, in the Greyhounds' home opener Nov. 17.
